In this article I plan on sharing what exactly the Kinect for Xbox is and why it has become so popular.

Motion sensor games have really taken off over the last few years and it was actually led by the Nintendo Wii, then of course Playstation followed up with the Playstation Move and now Microsoft has completely taken it to a whole new level with the Kinect for Xbox.

If you do not know what motion sensor games are it is basically where YOU are the controller and the use of old school button controllers are not needed. Although with the Wii and the Move there is a "wand" your movements are still what control the game.

Now what exactly separates the Kinect for Xbox from it's competitors? Well the kinect DOES NOT require any controller or wand whatsoever. Your complete body is the controller.

You see Microsoft has really stepped their game up and created a whole new innovative accessory for the Xbox that picks up your every move.

This means that every time you jump, swing, sit, or run the Kinect picks it up and transfers it onto the avatar you are playing with on the screen.

You may be asking yourself how exactly does this work? Well let me get into how the Kinect sensor works.

The sensor has a total of 3 cameras which is what picks up your every move. It has one color camera for image recognition and two monochrome cameras which are responsible for picking up your actual body movements.

This powerful sensor tracks the movements of your arms, legs, hips, feet and head so it is sure to get everyone off the couch and have a good time.

I think this is one of the reason's why this game has become so popular because you can actually get a great workout in while playing a game.

And if you are a parent you can get your kids to still play video games while staying active. We all know how dreadful the old school game consoles can be and have people sitting on a couch for hours on end. Well not anymore thanks to the Kinect.

Child Play - The Present Generation!

Fight... Fire down the hole... Attach... Destroy them... Finish him! Those are the voices that you'll hear in video and computer games. Shocking? Yes, these words and voices are for real but the most shocking of all is what the children see. But what drives children to still play these video games?

Video Games and there alike as a whole are created to entertain people, adult and children. Most of them are fun to play with especially when you know how to play the game. These games vary in their creation it may be as easy as Pacman and as difficult as Starcraft or Counterstrike but all in all they are all just click and play. But what really drives them? One thing for sure its visual, something look beautiful and appealing to the eye is worth watching plus add up the interactivity then viola! You got yourself hooked up.

A lot of Filipino children don't have this kind of entertainment showcase in their house. So how would these children play as often as they want too? Let me see... hmm... video games... where can we find these video games? Well to name some, there are lots of Arcades in malls and play station in some computer cafe or rentals. So that's where they get to play those games. A walk away from their house and one ride of jeep to the mall makes every video game accessible to kids anywhere and everywhere.

I remember when I was still a child the first video game that I have played was made by Atari. As a kid back then I was really amazed and that was a decade and a half ago. Now, these video games had evolved and become more appealing to children and they can easily influenced by whatever they see and hear. Just recently, I manage to read some article from the Philippine Pediatric Society about the effect of the video and computer games that children play. It is said that most of these children who's playing computer or video game lives a sedentary lifestyle. What was a sedentary lifestyle? According to the Philippine Pediatric Society it is a motionless activity of body parts and if children are living this kind of lifestyle it may increase the possibility of having a cardiovascular disease, obesity or morbidity. Why? It is because they don't exercise and do something. There are only few parts of their body does the movement. Some of these are the eyes, hands, fingers and the butt. Sitting for hours will sure give you a Guinness World Record. According to the article these are just the physical effect, so meaning there are more side effects. In terms of socialization children become socially inadequate and immature. A child with a playmate instills the feeling of having a playmate unlike in video or computer games, they instill the feeling of competition and reset button whenever they fail to do the task. Also according to the article children do have hard time coping with frustration and failure because of the idea of resetting. It is also expressed in the article that children may become short-tempered, aggressive and prone to commit violence because of some gruesome scene in the game. It is indeed true because you will really notice it to children in the community and it shocking to hear a six year old kid saying some of those words.

The rampant increase of these video and computer games are uncontrollable but if parents have established a deeper relationship with their child and having a parental guidance or a family conversation once in a while telling that this games are not good to play for their age. It is also good if parents will encourage their children to play out-door games like run and tag or the like with this it will instill and restore the value of child play.

Angry Bird Mobile - How Angry Birds Get Noticed Into The Mobile Century

These cute birds are available everywhere! They are also making their ways to many other mobile devices, some launched and some yet to be launched. Now you don't just have to have the traditional iPhone or iPod to play the game. You can still enjoy the angry bird experience from any phone with Angry Bird Mobile! The graphics on other mobile devices are as great as the iPhone!

iPhone: This is the traditional one. The game was first originally released only for the iPhone and available on other apple devices like iPod touch or iPad. Now it is available for many more devices. It is available on the current version of the iPhone, 4.3 and you can also play it on the newest version 5.0. I phone 5.0 has not yet been released but soon enough it will!

Angry Birds for Nokia Symbian: They are also on Nokia phones. They still have the same gaming interface, but the only thing is that you must have a big screen to fully enjoy the true aspects of the game. It is still a work in progress, so it may not be perfect yet on all Nokia phones. It will keep improving though.

Windows Phone: This one is yet to release. There has been rumors about it releasing sooner, but it just hasn't yet. The official date in June 29th, 2011 and it will release then. It will be cool to see how much angry birds are able to do on the windows phone, but considering how well they have done on android, I know this will also be another success. Angry Birds for Android: The stats for this are phenomenal. There have been more than 3 million downloads in one week when this first launched (and I was also one of them). I was overjoyed when I learned I could continue my passion from my smartphone! The interface on the android is also very impressive, but not as good as the iPhone. The touch and the rendering speed is still a little slow, but I am sure that android will fix that to maximize their results. However, I love playing on the android.

Angry Birds for Samsung Phones: Currently, this is only available on the smart phones for Samsung, which probably run on android. You have to be able to connect to the store to download it. Some phones have to be patient and just wait until an option for playing this highly addictive game is available. You can try it out on your phone to see if it works!

Tablets: It was not originally set for nook or kindle, but some smart hackers have been able to get their game on the nook. However, this requires some extreme knowledge. Also the nook has a dimmer screen than mobile phones so the overall aurora is different and I'm not sure how the touch works on the nook either. But hopefully soon there is an option available for nooks and kindles like it is on ipads. That would be great.

There are so many Angry Bird mobile options available and most of them are certainly worth a try. And I know rovio will continue to expand so your gaming experience will be better each time.
